Lord Robin Byron, direct descendant of great poet George Gordon Byron, arrived in Armenia upon Mediabrand’s invitation to take part in “Yerevan: World Book Capital 2012” events in April 2012.

We learnt that Robin Byron wanted to visit Armenia taking into account the poet’s bonds with Armenians and the fact that there is a Byron school in Gyumri. Mediabrand offered the events coordinator, head of the Armenian President's Staff Vigen Sargsyan to invite Robin Byron to Yerevan.  

Apart from participation in “Yerevan: World Book Capital 2012” events, Lord Robin Byron visited the Byron school in Gyumri, met with students and lecturers of the YSU.

Lord Robin Byron is a lawyer. Since 1989, he has been holding the post of Head of Byron Society in London.
