On June 17-24, 2006 MediaBrand Agency organized the visit of the journalists of the Russian “Vokrug Sveta” magazine to Armenia. The magazine has been publishing since 1861, its circulation is around 250 000 copies.

The press visit was organized by MediaBrand within the framework of the Year of Armenia in Russia. In November 2006, “Vokrug Sveta” published an article about Armenia in the “Great journey” section. The article was written after the visit of the journalist and photo-reporter of the magazine to Armenia.

MediaBrand prepared the following program for the journalists of the magazine:

-    Visit to the town of Spitak - the epicenter of the devastating earthquake of 1988.
-    Meeting with Armenian President’s Assistant Vigen Sarkisian.
-    Meeting with the Rector of the Armenian-Russian Slavonic University, Armen Darbinian.
-    Visit to the Yerevan Brandy Company.
-    Visit to “ArmenCarpet” rug-producing company.
-    Visit to the small town of “Vahagni”.
-    Visit to the unique treasury of Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.
-    Visit to Tsakhkadzor; study of the investment program for the development of the resort.
-    Visit to Lchashen village, situated on the shore of Lake Sevan where traces of ancient people have been found.
